Pharm. Wasiu Yekinni

Pharm. Yekinni Wasiu Olanrewaju graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm) in 2010. He pursued his post graduate studies at the University of Lagos and earned his master’s degree in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (MSc Pharm&PharmTech) in 2018. He has more than 14 years post-graduation experience. 

He had the Students’ Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) at Pharma- Deko Plc in 2009 where he acquired experience in tablet, capsule, suppository, syrups, drops, mouthwashes and liniment production. During the period, he also acquired experience in quality control and quality assurance.

He joined Pharma-Deko Plc as a Production Pharmacist in January 2014. His appointment was regularized and he was promoted to the position of an Assistant Manager in October 2017.

As a professional, he has contributed immensely to the growth of the company in areas such as contract manufacturing, sales and marketing, research and development and regulatory affairs.

He has attended courses on current Good Manufacturing Practice; Quality Risk Management and Contamination Control in Food, Drug and Cosmetics Industries; and How to Develop Managerial Skills as Pharmacists and How to Prepare CTD Dossier for NAFDAC Registration of Products. He has also attended the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Modular Professional Courses leading to the award of certificates in Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme.

Due to his experience, hard work and diligence, he was appointed as the Production Manager/Superintendent Pharmacist of Pharma-Deko Plc in July 2024.

Pharm. Yekinni Wasiu Olanrewaju is a member of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN).
